Fic: ‘Their world.’
Title: Their world.
Fandom: Stardust (movie).
Rating: (PG)
Time Period: At the Slaughtered Prince.
Summary: There is no one else.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

This has been in mind recently due to seeing some of it recently; I should watch the rest soon – it’s been so long!

I dived into this scene to get a feel for their characters.

All characters contained herein are the intellectual property of Neil Gaiman (novel) & Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn (their interpretation); I am not affiliated with nor endorsed by them.

Her hair, fine and silken, tumbles over his fingers as he cups her face with both hands. He leans closer.

His eyes, concentrated on her face, her lips, miss the glow beginning to appear.

He can think of nothing else but to kiss her, to feel her lips under his, to feel her body leaning into his and her towel slipping away; his cheeks lightly colour at that thought as a gentleman’s should.

“Yvaine,” he murmurs and then he closes what little distance is left. He closes his eyes; her hands creep upward, resting first on his chest and then the base of his throat as his lips descend and she, too, closes her eyes.

She cannot imagine kissing anyone else and neither does he, despite his (formerly) oft-declared love for Victoria. Her hands rise, sliding easily into his hair, and she tilts her head, her hair sliding to fall now down her bared back. There is no one else; just this, their world of each other.
