Fic: ‘Tis the Season: An important mission.  
Title: ‘Tis the Season: An important mission.
Fandom: Doctor Who.
Rating: (G)
Time Period: During the 10th Doctor's time.
Summary: It no longer had a mind of its own.

This was inspired by the Doctor Who BBC1 Christmas Ident Trailer for 2009. I was highly amused by the trailer.

This is part IV of IV for this particular set of stories.

Where did that click come from? He held the screwdriver to his ear and shook it. Ah, there was the click. Buttons were pressed and the screwdriver shaken again. Perfect.

The screwdriver was pointed at the snow again. Buttons were pressed with his thumb. The end of the screwdriver glowed blue once more.

Whiiirrr. Whiiirrr. Whiiirrr.

Snow went flying everywhere; he didn’t duck. Instead, he stood, still pointing the screwdriver at the snow. A reindeer raised his head to look at the suddenly flying snow. It no longer had its own mind or if it did, it was moving against its will.

Eventually, only a few minutes, the snow stopped flying through the air. The reindeer continued grazing once more. There were steps taken forward and the door to the TARDIS was opened. What he needed was easily discovered in the room that was down the hallway, third right, fourth left and sixth right. Now, if the snow had had a mind of its own, imagine what the minds of the reindeer would be like. He decided not to think about it. He had an important mission.

Some minutes later, an hour more or less, reins were slapped and suddenly was heard …

I knew there was a way that Santa could deliver all the toys in one night!

I've now got a hankering for a Santa Claus/Doctor who crossover... I'm a sad, sad man.

How do we know Santa's not a Time Lord?

Whoo boy! It would explain how he gets around the entire world in one night. And how come he's been alive for several hundred years (I can't remember exactly when the St. Nicholas/Santa myth started).
