Update: Here prompt prompt prompt ...
Q. What are ‘quick & dirty’ stories?
‘Quick & dirty’ is a term I coined some time ago to describe stories that are simply written and then posted to the particular forum or medium with little to no editing - hence the term. They're ‘quick’ and ‘dirty’ due to the little to no editing.
From: The Inevitable F. A. Q.

The above comes from, as mentioned, the F. A. Q. and it’s been a very apt description of anything I’ve put on morethanacandle for a while. To stretch the definition of ‘quick and dirty’ a little further than how I’ve (obviously hastily) written it in the F. A. Q.:
Quick ‘n’ dirty fics are pieces of fiction that have been written quickly and have little to no editing. Hence the term ‘quick ‘n’ dirty.’ If a piece of fiction is labelled as ‘quick ‘n’ dirty’ in the author’s notes, it should be noted that the writer is aware that the fiction isn’t edited extensively and so small things might have been missed.

At the moment, I don’t have the time to write longer pieces of fiction – as mentioned in the last update, my time is being filled with The Project and real life is kicking my butt but, often, I do feel inclined to write quick ‘n’ dirty pieces of fiction, usually fan. However, inspiration is sometimes lacking so I’ve made a decision.

What I would like to do is make a table with different prompts and then when I’ve ‘filled’ a prompt, add a link to the table underneath the respective prompt. When I’ve filled a quota, yet to be determined, for each prompt on that table, then another table will be made with different prompts. The table won’t be filled out straightaway but if I have a moment I’d like to fill with a ‘quick ‘n’ dirty’, then I can write one for a prompt or even just randomly. The table is simply to help me if I feel stuck for an idea.

As a sidenote, I’m not going to promise that I’ll only write certain types of ‘fic in one particular fandom. The point of this is to provide inspiration, not to be restrictive.

So, what prompts would people suggest? Leave them in a comment to this entry and when I have enough, I’ll construct a table for them and go from there. 3 prompts per person is allowed.

Well, if by prompts you mean fandom, (as I can't think of what else it could be), here is what I would go for.

Doctor Who

If prompts means something else, I probably have ideas for that too.

It's not prompts as in fandoms. It's prompts as in rain, hot, wet, cold, battle.

That sort of thing.
