“I want to frolic.”

“Do you know how to frolic?”

“Do you know what it is?”

“So how will you know if you're doing it?”

“I will just know.”

“I don't know.”

“So you're going to do something that you don't what it is because …?”

“Then I can say I've done it.”

“You don't even know what it is, never mind the how of it.”

“But then I can say I've done it.”

“I'm going to make coffee.”

“To make sense of this since I'm obviously not conscious enough for this conversation.”

“I've never seen you drink coffee.”

“Do you believe in Santa?”

“Do you believe in --- look at who I'm asking.”

“What does Santa have to do with this?”

“Did you believe in Santa as a kid?”

“Yes but ----”

“And did you ever see him?”

“No, but ----”

“So I drink coffee. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.”

“So I can frolic.”

“How did we get back here?”

“I --- don't wanna know. Why this sudden need to do something that you don't know what it is?”

“Because I do.”

“You know that's not an answer, right?”

“It is an answer. You're just not satisfied with it.”

“Just answer the question to my satisfaction.”

“Because I feel the need to frolic.”

There's a pause. A smile, simple in its joy. “There's snow. You can frolic in snow.”

“Where we going?”

“To frolic.”

There's a squeal of pure joy as she runs to get her scarf.
