Summary: A quiet moment for him.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

It’s been a while since I visited them but I couldn't resist this.

Quietly, he reaches for a hair against her cheek; he tucks it behind an ear. He rests on his side, one hand propping his head and watches as she murmurs in her sleep, pulls the blanket over her shoulder.

She's naked, he knows; he remembers her snuggling into his arms afterward, when she'd told him there was no one bar him in her feelings and nor would there be, ever. Not for her the eager Padawan or lazy poet; she could only love him. Even now, the words make him feel warm; his cheeks flame briefly.

Pride comes before a fall, he silently reminds himself yet if he were to fall, she would be the reason he fell and no other.

She rolls onto her side, her back toward him and he smiles faintly while he sighs quietly for the moment now lost. However, he doesn't dwell on a fleeting moment; instead?

He creates another as he lies down, moves forward slightly and tightens his arms once they're about her once more.
