Fic: ‘Tis the Season: A meeting of two lovers.
Title: ‘Tis the Season: A meeting of two lovers.
Fandom: Star Wars
Rating: (M)
Time Period: Between AotC & RotS.
Summary: It's been a while.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

This wasn't the story to be written and this came flowing. I could picture this scene more clearly than the other and it still fits the holiday season: a soldier on leave and coming home, surprising his lover.

That's my justification, anyway!

She turns, her face tilted upward. His hands loosen around her waist so she can move but he doesn't move his hands; he likes how she feels between them. Rain falls, splashing the water nearby; an accompaniment to the dance on the balcony.

She draws nearer; he tugs her closer. She steps within the robe he wears; he pulls her against him. Her hands fly up, rest on his chest to stop her suddenly hitting against him. He lowers his head; her lips part. She stands on tiptoe; his arms close about her. His robe covers her.

Their lips meet, pressed against each other. Her arms relax, slide around him, pulling him even closer; no distance between them now. Her lips slip from his, brushing along his jaw, his cheek. Light briefly flares over the lake. Rain splatters his robe. He groans slightly, more so he can concentrate enough to move them both away from the railing.

He barely succeeds.

“Too long away,” she whispers against damp skin.

“Too long,” he agrees and pulls her chin up, devouring her mouth.

Her knees weaken; she almost falls. He catches her and carries her away, from the rain and wet air.

Beautiful mood piece as always. A soft tension and falling rain too.

Thank you; I wasn't quite sure it worked as a mood piece.
