I felt sorry for them this episode. For what was lost.

Picking up her quiver and bow, she pauses before the door, quiver over her shoulder. For a few moments, the nursery brightens and she sees.

Sees the gold and white in which they’d decorated, the flickering of the warm candles, the toys for Emma to play with: the giraffe there, the teddy bear clean and fluffy. The cot they’d had made for the daughter who’d just walked from the room.

Those lost years well and the weight of those years, forever lost, falls. She bites her lip, her eyes damp and then damper still.

Emma crawling around the room -- this room. Helping her walk. Emma’s first ball. Her first boy. Marriage and ...

She turns, biting her lip once more. She sighs heavily and closes her hand on the doorknob. Now, she has to be strong, lead her daughter through the coming days. Not cry or wail about days now gone. Get her back to the world she knows.

A deep breath; she might not recover those lost years but they do have now. They have to build on that, not then.

The door closes.

Yeah, I always thought Snow seemed to be thinking about something as she left.
