Fic: ‘Permission to shoot.’
Title: Permission to shoot.
Fandom: Stargate SG-1
Rating: (G)
Time Period: During season 1.
Summary: Hammond and Fraiser discuss a Colonel’s recovery.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

I couldn’t help this small scene.

“How severely was he wounded, Captain?”

“A jolt like that to his nervous system would have impaired anyone else, General, but the Colonel is nothing if not resilient. However, he isn’t contagious, is unlikely to spread any alien contaminant to the general population and he has spent some time in the infirmary under supervision. He can spend the rest of the time at home.”

“Are you sure, Captain?”

“Yes, General. It might be better for him.”

“You mean for your staff, Captain.”

“I mean for him, General.”

Hammond chuckles. “He’s got some sick leave. Just sign the forms, Captain, and he’ll be out of your hair.”

Janet salutes, turns for the door. Her hand is on the handle, about to turn ...

She turns to face the man behind the desk. “If he gets too unruly being confined to the infirmary, you have permission to shoot him.”

She nods. “Yes, General.” When she turns, her hand on the door handle, she cannot help a small smile.

Heh. If this is the Colonel I think it is; she might need that permission to shoot him...

She might not ...
