Fic: ‘an argument he wins’
Title: an argument he wins
Fandom: Star Wars
Rating: (PG)
Time Period: AotC.
Summary: He did what must be done.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

In order:
when first they meet
goodbye, my friend
within the crowd
what he does
goodbye
an unspoken apology

I looked at this small scene and just know he’ll mention that kiss between her and Anakin when she’s well.

Bacta soaked strips adorn her back; she knows she should be in a bacta tank, letting the liquid heal her but she cannot allow it. She must be where she is. She must try to st---

She rests her head on her hand, closing her eyes.

“You should be in a healing hall.”

Opening her eyes, she looks up. “You should be at the Jedi Temple, attending to Anakin.”

“He is well,” he says. “You are not.”

“I am well,” she replies, ignoring his raised eyebrow, the pointed glance at her back. “I must---”

“Be attended by a healer,” he smoothly interrupts. He steps around the desk, picks her up in his arms. She winces as his arms touch her back; he ignores her complaint as he carries her into an adjoining chamber and speaks quietly into a comm. concealed by his sleeve.

“You planned this,” she accuses as he lays her upon the nearest lounge.

“You may accuse me when you are well,” he patiently answers. “Until then ...”

She feels a prick behind her neck and the last she sees is his face blurring.

I love this. So much tenderness in a small moment. Favourite line: “You planned this,” she accuses as he lays her upon the nearest lounge. How very her!

Thank you. I'm sure he'll know, in no uncertain terms, how she'll feel about this when she wakes.
