Fic: ‘Do not go.’
Title: Do not go.
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia (movie)
Rating: (G)
Time Period: During the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, before they go home.
Summary: He doesn’t want her to go.

Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).

This was inspired by an icon I saw recently. I had that picture of them hugging and this grew organically from that. A tad more overt than An accidental moment perhaps.

But, here it is.

He wraps his arms around her as her arms go around his neck.

“Do not go,” he whispers into her hair.

Her arms tighten. “Liliandil,” she murmurs.

Her body crushed against his, she buries her forehead in his shoulder before, aware of Aslan and Edmund, she steps away from Caspian and toward the great Lion. Darker than before, his eyes follow her movements when she walks away. She looks over her shoulder when she is about to step through.

He grabs her hand, pulling her to him and, unrestrained and passionate, he presses his lips to hers. She cannot help how her body leans into his, how her arm slides around him.

“Liliandil,” she breathes against his lips when they’re both standing alone before the wave and Aslan.

When she walks away this time, he holds her hand, his arm outstretched with each step away from him, until her fingers slide from his and she is gone.

I never really though of Lucy & Caspian as a pairing until you posted your first fic, but I can see this. I can see Lucy telling him that he has Liliandil, and that she has to go.

It also makes me wonder, whether they would have been allowed to stay if they chose to, and what could have happened then!

Neither had I until I watched Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

but I can see this
I'm very glad not to be the only one.

That's made me extraordinarily thoughtful, wondering what might have happened, those times they voluntarily went back.

Yeah; sharing a kiss like that then needing to go.

They do both know what's coming.
