Leroy nudges a box with his foot. “We'll never be rid of these. We should toss them out.”

“Toss them out?” Granville draws himself to hos full height. “Toss them out? There's life in them yet I'll have you know!”

Leroy looks at the box. “Cobblers,” he replies. “They're past their sell by date.”

“I'll shift them. You watch.”

“And how will you do that?”

Granville fixes a beady eye upon him. “That's my secret, isn't it?”

“You're going to use a bunch of old cobblers about how there's something mystical about them, aren't you?”

“No.”

“How in olden times, grocers were on hand so they could tell people how to make them?”

“Have you no faith in me?”

“In you, yes.”

Granville begins to preen.

“I have faith you'll feed people around here some guff about how they should have these wreaths in their home, even if it's not the holiday for them any more.”

Granville deflates. “No faith at all then?”

“In you, yes ---”

“To feed people a bunch of old cobblers. I heard you.”

“So, you'll throw these out?”

Granville begins to splutter.

“That's what I thought.”

He's reminding me more of Cut-me-own-throat Dibbler every day.

He does?

He does. They're complete opposites in many ways; as Dibbler aims to achieve by cutting the price substantially; whilst Granville hates cutting the price on anything. But they both are actually superb businessman, though you wouldn't think it to look at them.
