Fic: 'Here, Now.'
Title: Here, Now.
Fandom: Sólo Dios sabe/Só Deus Sabe
Rating: (R 18+)
Time Period: During the early part of the film.
Summary: Rain forced the festival to end.

Author's Note: Last year, I wrote a spontaneous 'fic for Valentine's Day. Once again, it's Valentine's Day, and I wanted to write a story to celebrate. I didn't want to write something long; this was meant to be simple and thanks to some friends who helped me greatly, a prompt was decided upon, to keep the spontaneity of the short 'fic - this year, the prompt is 'one night'. It's quick 'n' dirty (see the F. A. Q. for full definition of this term).

Inspiration for this also smacked me, hard, after seeing the results of an icon request, of which the current icon was one result. In November, I was given a chance to watch this film - twice, in one week - and due to time passed, I mightn't've captured these characters very well; I had only my memory to rely upon for this.

Fat, the rain pelted everything from cars to people to the ground that greedily drank despite the growing puddles and couldn’t get enough of the nourishing moisture. Heavy, the rain drove everyone bur two to the nearest shelter of house or cantina.

His hands had found purchase on her body, pulling her to him with a groan. Her knees, bent and raised, gripped him when her hips pushed against him to meet his, thrust for thrust. Back arching, she moaned; windows fogged, it reverberated in the enclosed space. His grunts were almost lost in the lust driving him.

“Te deseo.”

No, not lust; such a coarse word didn’t belong here. It was something else, finer than lust. It was need.

Desire.

Fate.

Such perfection, frenzied as it was, had to be predestined. Such thoughts, though, could be had later; coherence didn’t belong here, now. It was just them as her legs wrapped about him, pulling him closer although it was impossible for any distance to exist between them.

Outside, rain masked the sounds from the car. Everyone was inside, away from the needed moisture assailing the paper lanterns, muddying the square the dancing had occupied.

Her fingers clutched him as her head tilted forward and dark eyes screwed tight; silver brushed against bared skin, warmed by contact and sweat.

“Ai meu Deus!”

It wasn’t a scream but also not a whimper. Panting, he kept his full weight off her. Ines had always said how kind, how thoughtful he was. But this wasn’t Ines for which he was more thankful than even he could express to God. He couldn’t explain what he felt at this very moment as her fingers curled in his hair and stroked his neck. There’d been no metaphorical fireworks and the exhilaration he felt wasn’t from the pulque.

It was … it was simply Dolores, who’d captured his mind, his heart in that toilet in Tijuana. He’d always known he was going to like Tijuana, even if he’d never known exactly why, the fate that’d awaited him there thanks to the fellowship. Fate.

Dios.

Here, now as they shifted so he could hold her in the very limited space of his backseat, all that mattered was her, him and the rain that pounded the darkness.

Mmmm... this is... nice. It's also extremely arousing. There's no other word for it. I like it. I love it. Just... not something to read it in a public place.

Aside from the fact I've been trying to make a simple edit for the past two hours, it's the first time I've posted something under this rating publicly; usually, it's written and kept to myself.

Thank you, for the kind comment; perhaps I should toss a 'not work safe' label to it?
Armchair DMarmchairdm on February 15th, 2007 12:41 am (UTC)
You definitely should. However as long as it did come with that warning; I wouldn't object to more under this rating. You write it well - very well.

Isn't the rating warning enough - (R 18+)?
Armchair DMarmchairdm on February 15th, 2007 01:20 am (UTC)
There's R+ and there's R+. Some can be due to violence; after all.
F. J.: lantern & candlesmorethanacandle on February 15th, 2007 01:22 am (UTC)
But, the rating is still there as a warning.
Armchair DMarmchairdm on February 15th, 2007 02:06 am (UTC)
That's true. As I said I wouldn't object to more of this rating. I'll just have to make sure I check the rating -before- I click into it for your work.

That is why the ratings are there on each story; as the user info states:
All writing in this journal, unless noted otherwise, is rated (M).

Bringing new meaning to the term 'quick and dirty'. This was unjustly hot, and would have been deadly if it had been anything but quick and dirty.

And it's doubled my resolve to see this movie.

Now that my laughing's under control, I can reply.

Bringing new meaning to the term 'quick and dirty'
I was wondering if someone'd pick up on that.

This was unjustly hot, and would have been deadly if it had been anything but quick and dirty.
Thank you, for your very kind words. It's the first time I've posted anything under this rating publicly; usually, it's written and filed away.

To be completely honest, I was very, very uncertain as to whether I should post this or not, but it nagged at me until I did. I was very uncertain as to whether I'd written this well, considering the subject which I've seen, as mentioned above, only twice and had to draw a lot from memory.

And it's doubled my resolve to see this movie.
You should most definitely see it, despite its disappointments.

If there's a pun to be had, I'll find it!

And yes, I'd encourage you to share more fiction of this nature!

If there's a pun to be had, I'll find it!
And so you did, this time! Well done!

And yes, I'd encourage you to share more fiction of this nature!
We'll see what happens, I think. With this particular story, Damián's thoughts were easily discernible and I wanted to give some clarity - the fact that in my mind, the inspiration was for this scene was neglible.

I think.

Oooh. Wow. Very, very hot. And intense. And wow.

And like the above commenter said, it makes me want to see the movie more than ever.

Thank you! That particular scene was intense and I was trying to impart some of that, although I don't know if I captured the feel of the movie very well.

I'm pleased, though, to hear that it's hot. I wasn't certain as to whether it was or not.

And like the above commenter said, it makes me want to see the movie more than ever.
I would recommend it, despite its disappointments; it's carried very ably by the actors who play the characters in the above 'fic.
